I get it that its annoying and its easier to just mark emails as spam to ignore those emails but due to this action, future users who register to our forum will have their emails marked as spam and go into their spam/junk folder, i have spent almost a year to improve our email reputation to a decent level where emails will land on inbox but recent stats show some are still marking our emails as spam. We are not a multi corporation that can afford to have experts who can fix this for us, please do not mark our emails as spam.

Please unsubscribe from our emails the following way if you do not wish to receive emails from us.

Email Footer

I've just added both emails to safe senders list. I never knew email rep existed, I hope this helps~

I delete most of the emails anyway since i'm too lazy to unsubscribe and emails from websites I actually use a lot don't bother me as much as freakin linkedin asking me for the 20th time if I know Natalie Smith, I can just delete any ks emails from my inbox instead of junk folder, since me n ebay have had a similar thing going on for the past 2 years or so anyways lol

My inbox is essentially my fanfic archive since I use it to see chapter updates on ao3 and literally everything else gets deleted or sent to the archive folder if it's something like a payment receipt, I currently have 11 chapters I need to read :^)

Thank you, yeah email reputation exists, its hard for small sites like us to run our own email server, we're basically at the mercy of big mail providers who can just flag us as spammers, most websites like us would then be forced to use one of the big mail companies like sendgrid, amazon ses to ensure their emails will inbox well if their reputation drops to poor. Ours is currently good but it can drop down to neutral if enough people mark us as spam.

That's actually really interesting. On one hand i'm thankful that actual spam emails can get caught through this system, but it can also be a big problem for smaller websites like this one huh, I hope they can fix the system in the future so that the bigger companies can't take advantage of it and ruin smaller companies' email rep. One positive in this situation is that because we're still a smaller more tight knit community, I think everyone feels like it's just a big family to some degree including all the staff, so users such as myself feel more motivated to help out. If this was a bigger platform that didn't have such a tight knit community then I don't think I would care enough about the website to help out with issues like this. I think you've made a great community here on KS so I hope we can all help fix this issue for you <3

Yeah i hope so, but its the way the world works now, monopolies everywhere, just take a number of users (according to their internal numbers which we will never know) to trigger their spam filter and all our emails will go to junk and we have to work our way back up from scratch. Thanks for helping out, every bit helps in ensuring our emails can reach their intended audiences.
