Are you a follow the recipe cook? Or are recipe's for losers?

I'd say recipe's are for losers.. but most of my cooking ends in disaster unless it's precooked or a kit of some kind...

I follow the recipe until I have an idea... improvisational cooking often worked for me in the past, but it also went terribly wrong sometimes.

I follow a recipe the first time making something new, and then make substitutions and change things in times afterwards
