You peer through the bushes. You could have sworn you saw something move....there! Near the pond! What could it be? You look closer, and closer, ah hah! You know exactly what it is! It's a....
Welcome to the pixel animal game! This game is based on an idea used by the World Wildlife Fund. The idea is rather simple, an image of an animal is taken and the number are pixels are reduced, until they are (in our case, approximately) equal to the number of said animals that are thought to be alive today. As would be expected, some animals have more than others. Your job is to guess what the animal is. You will also be timed, which will be used as a tiebreaker. A team that receives a higher score will beat a team that's faster and with a lower score. But in the case of 2 equally scoring teams, the faster one wins. At the end, we will reveal the results and original images, along with a fact about each of them.
How to guess:
The game will be played in the team chats, and there are 11 animals total. They will be revealed in order, so you won't get the 2nd until you guys guess or use up the tries for the first, and so on. You have 3 tries to guess the animal. When guessing, say something about "final guess" so we know you're not just thinking or proposing ideas to teammates. Of course, you can be more general. We don't expect you to know specific sub-species, but of course you can't say overly general things like "mammal" "something living" ect. If you don't know if your guess is too general you can always ask. When ready, let us know in the team chats and we will give you the first image. Of course, if you have questions, feel free to ask
Good luck!
