Hello everyone!
In a means to promote our Events Intern Recruitment, we thought about the things that people may be curious about how events are created.
Thus, we decided to write this quick thread to explain our process a little for the people who either would like to know or are on the fence of joining the Events team~
So, where do we start?
What about the preparations?
Up until now, this part of the event is one that requires a lot of work but does not require Events members to be extremely active since much of this is prepared a few months ahead.
Now, the hosting comes:
And this concludes all the basics of doing events!
Now, you are able to ask us any questions in this thread about the process or other things you are curious about!
However, if you think that this is for you and you would like to be a part of this, please consider applying to the Events Intern Recruitment with the thread that is linked below!

In a means to promote our Events Intern Recruitment, we thought about the things that people may be curious about how events are created.
Thus, we decided to write this quick thread to explain our process a little for the people who either would like to know or are on the fence of joining the Events team~
So, where do we start?
- Events usually start off with a really broad concept.
- For example, the Fashion Stylist Event started off with the idea of “What if we pretended we are the stylists of idols?”
- If we think that this is fun or interesting enough,we stick with the idea. Then, we really just throw plans at each other, seeing what we could do in terms of this concept that we originally thought of.
- In this case, we thought about what would be sick to style idols for? Bam, what about New York Fashion Week but instead of New York, it would be KS Fashion Week. Ohh.. and then we can have them present it on the runway for a specific theme! And, we can give a list of themes for users to pick from!
- So, there we have a broad idea that has some sort of consistency. Nothing at this point is final, and nothing at this point is determined to be functional either.
- So, now we have to consider how to incorporate this into the forum. We get to the mechanical part. What can we do in the limitation of a forum and its structures that would allow us to bring this concept to life?
- Well, we first had to consider, where do people even style their idols? For that, we decided to use an external site that we had previously used.
- Then, how do people submit their outfits? For that, we had to pick between DMs and google forms but went with google forms to make it more organized.
- But, this was only the submission.
- After this, well… What do we do now? What is the point of users doing this? Well, obviously to have fun, but getting an incentive is great too, but how would we do this?
- For this event, this would end up being a competition in front of judges (the forum) to win prizes! Having competitions that are judged by the Events members or even other users in the forum creates a sense of competitiveness while also giving us a reason to award prizes. This way users would be motivated to do well, they get to have fun, and their efforts are not for nothing!
- This would end up concluding the planning.
What about the preparations?
- This is definitely the second part of the event creations! We have a plan at this point and it’s pretty much final, but of course, the final tweaks don’t happen until this stage.
- We prepare the appropriate threads ahead of time, make sure the google forms are ready, and make sure everything is functional before the event.
- At this point, we do encounter issues and problems we have to solve, but thankfully, we usually encounter those prior to publishing the event.
- For example, sometimes we realize that there are loopholes or gaps in our planning that we have to fill. Sometimes we also realize that certain parts of our planning either coincide too much or don’t make sense. We attempt to solve this all before publishing the event.
- But, of course, there is more~ We gotta make sure that the event sounds interesting. In the ways that we word our threads or the images we include, we want to be as engaging as possible. We want to create a scenario in which the users get to insert themselves in.
- When you go back and look at our past events, they may seem random and weird, but are purposefully written as so in order to help create this imaginative scenario that is meant to be the context for the event.
Up until now, this part of the event is one that requires a lot of work but does not require Events members to be extremely active since much of this is prepared a few months ahead.
Now, the hosting comes:
- This is actually the easiest part (most of the time at least) and requires the least amount of work. However, it does require the most activity of the Events members.
- Not only do we have to publish the threads on time (or at least close to on time), we also need to be available for any questions or parts that we need to partake in.
- Since everything is prepared, the work is not very difficult but being available is very essential.
And this concludes all the basics of doing events!
