With the law changing to only having trainees for max 3 years

I can see good and bad things coming from this

Good:
Companys wont take on trainees just to stop other companys having them
Idols wont be trainees for 10+ in 1 company

Bad:
Companys are going to be super fussy
only taking on trainees with the intention of a set group meaning they wont take them on to train them to be better/leaders etc
Okish trainees wont get a chance as not worth the risk
we will see a increase in trainees/idol schools in korea < what cost alot of money
Companys will debut idols younger so they wont lose a trainee
{as if amazing kid comes into audition and they want them they might have to debut them at 13}

What they need is a law on the treatment of trainees and artists alike not this. I can see how this can back fire.

well sm will just put baby trainees in esteem like they already do
and have done for some of there current idols
i.e jisung
it works out fine for big companies who can put trainees in a model company

Or throw em in a group like NCT and claim debut and never actually have them active till needed then have them "graduate"

I really don‘t like that. I am not a fan of stuff that will lead to trainees being younger and younger

ohhh god im imaging the younger version of dream
as dream is now more popular than 127 so i feel like there will be a second version
for the not yet trained members who maybe too young to go on a stage

My limit is 10...
but that is a push and it normally in companys that care for the trainees and look after the babys
luckily both boystory and superkids come from companys that are made for babies
but i cant imagine a young girl group in pledis

10 is pretty much when a child personalty is made and it clear as day if they want to do something or not
plus 17 is not bad to end a contract if it comes to it

but a 9 year old is rarely mature enough but 10 is the start of when kids are mature and can be trusted

I would say they should be older. I think 18 is a good age for debut. 13/14 is way to young

As far as I’m aware the new law just means that that you can’t lock people into super long trainee contracts, the trainees can still choose to renew their contract after three years if they choose...
yeh i think so but companys will be scared of losing trainees specially to small companies
