Oh wow so our first times in Japan were very identical! My first trip was back in 2013 as well and I did Tokyo, Osaka, Nikko, Kyoto, Nara & Hakone during Autumn! lol

I've been numerous times since then though and I've extended my trips to Sapporo, Hakodate, Sendai, Yamadera, Matsushima, the Sanriku Coast, Amanohashidate, Uji, Nagano, Kamakura, Yokohama, Kumano, Hiroshima, Kagoshima and many more xD

And Akihabara... Ah. I usually have to dedicated at least 2 days to Akihabara... I once spent over £1500 in Akihabara in just 1 shopping haul!

Oh really? When in 2013 did you go? We went 3rd November for 2 weeks.
Oh really? That is cool :D You have been to many places :)
You what? Spent £1500 in Akihabara in just one shopping haul? lmao That is a lot of money to spend on just one shopping trip lol :llama_laugh::yolk::pandahappy:

I was in Japan from around the 10th November till early December! Went to the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show as well.
That trip I was the first time that I met my (future) wife as a friend. It wasn't till 2015 that we became a couple.

I've been to Japan in all the seasons and Autumn is my favourite time to visit :)

Yep! xD I spent over £1500 on figures, manga etc lmao.
My most recent trip though was my smallest ever haul from Akihabara. But I did also spend a lot on K Pop albums in Shin Okubo & Tower Records. And also the Pokemon Center!

Wow! That's awesome :) It's great to meet someone and then you find out you are made for each other!
Back in 2015, I had actually met a Japanese friend called Azumi who came to London for a few days as she was touring Europe, so I met up with her and her friend who she was travelling with called Yuki.

We went to Karaoke which me and Yuki were having a lot of fun at, we went to the Japanese restaurants and Japanese stores there, but unfortunately I lost contact with them now since Yuki had lost her phone so I couldn't add her on fb or anything and Azumi was pretty busy and we started talking less and less.

But I found myself having more in common with Yuki than Azumi even though I had met Azumi first.
This was also at the time I was doing Shotokan Karate as well, so I showed them my medals I had won lol and they also showed their appreciation for me buying them food :)

Oh the Pokemon centre :D Never been there before unfortunately!

It was something that we never expected. But my second ever trip to Japan was when we discovered our feelings for each other and that left us struggling for a long time with whether we could commit to a long distance relationship. In the end though we took the chance, and its all worked out in the end.
And getting married and having our daughter last year finalised the completion of our family.

That's a shame that you lost contact with one of them, and started talking less to the other friend :( Its horrible when you find yourselves growing distant for reasons that you sometimes can't help and or understand.
But at least you've got the memories of the good times that you shared with them both :)

Me and the wife have spent so much money in the Pokemon shop on ourselves and also our daughters! lol

That is awesome that it could work out like that! Sometimes it all connects together!

Yes it is true and I'll never forget the Ramen food we all had and the Karaoke when me and Yuki sang together. azumi was unfortunately too shy to join in so she sat there and watched.

Pikachu is so popular now all over the world lol my colleague was telling me about the Pikachu dance thing:
