No really it's kinda hilarious tbh! Ppl have done experiments where they go up to ppl in america for exapmle and ask about the Dalai Lama...
The general reaction is that he seems like a really good man! but then when they are asked about what the Dalai Lama actually works towards or what his stands are.... people usually draw blanks besides things like peace and so on.

Well yeah, he is the leader of the tibetan Buddhists and I doubt there are many of those where you live! He is a really interesting guy though, he believes in scance and technology as well, to the point that he has even said that if science proves reincarnation to be impossible, he will no longer be a buddhist!
